CFFC 63: What a Show! – Results

CFFC 63 took place Saturday Feb 18 at the Borgata Hotel Spa & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ, and it not only lived up to the hype, it far exceeded it. All spectators, including UFC president Dana White, Matt Serra, and Din Thomas, were treated to a night of action packed fights culminating with three intriguing title fights. Heavyweight Champ  Azunna Anyanwu defeated Shawn Teed by TKO/Ref Stoppage due to strikes in round 2. Featherweight champ, Jared “Flash” Gordon won a unanimous decision dominating his opponent Bill Algeo wherever the fight went. A photo of Gordon shaking Dana White’s with only  the caption “signed” was posted by Alliance MMA president Rob Haydak, so a big congrats goes out to Jared on being chosen for a UFC contract. Prior,  Nick Pace retained his bantamweight title defeating Ahmet Kayretli by rear naked choke the 3rd round after an amazing back and forth fight.

Highlights of the undercard include:

• Sergio “The Savage” DaSilva holding true to his word and showing his opponent wasn’t “on his level.” Sergio dominated all 3 rounds winning by unanimous decision and scoring 30-26 on one judges card.
• Stephan “The Predator” Regman dropping his opponent while balancing on one foot, then continuing to pounce for the finish
• A slick armbar finish off his back from Thiago Rela
• Joe Solecki winning in just over a minute with a tight rear naked choke

It was a great night of fights with high level athletes, production, and execution, all built on a strong card put together by matchmaker Arias Garcia. Congrats to all the fighters and the whole Caged Fury Fighting Championships team.
