UFC on Fox: Jacaré vs. Brunson 2 at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC- Saturday, January 27, 2018

UFC on Fox will be headlined by the rematch between former Strikeforce Middleweight Champion and current #3 Ranked UFC Middleweight Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, and #8 Ranked UFC Middleweight Derek Brunson. The last time the two fighters met, which was in Strikeforce in 2012, Jacare was able to put away Brunson via KO in just 41 seconds. Jacare (24-5), who is a multiple-time World BJJ Champion, is looking to bounce back from a TKO loss to current UFC Middleweight Champion, Robert Whittaker. Brunson (18-5), who was a three-time D2 All American Wrestler, looks to win his third UFC fight in a row, coming off of a Performance of the Night win over MMA legend Lyoto Machida.

The Co-Main event of the evening will be a Featherweight fight between Dennis “The Menace” Bermudez (17-7) and Andre “Touchy” Fili (17-5). The Long Island MMA representative, Bermudez is currently the #11 ranked UFC Featherweight. The second bout of the main card will see a matchup between undefeated young rising star Gregor “the Gift” Gillespie (10-0) and Jordan Rinaldi (13-5). Gillespie, the former Ring of Combat Lightweight Champion, was a D1 Wrestling National Champion in college who has finished 8 of his 10 professional fights in dominant fashion.

Some other notable bouts of the night are the following: Katlyn Chookagian (9-1), former Cage Fury Fighting Championship’s Woman’s Flyweight and Bantamweight Champion, will battle Mara Romero Borella (12-4); Justine Kish (6-1), former Ring of Combat Flyweight Champion, will take on Ji Yeon Kim (6-1-2); George Sullivan (17-5), former Ring Of Combat veteran and Cage Fury Fighting Championships Welterweight Champion, fights Niko “The Hybrid” Price (10-1).
