Changes to UFC 249: Jacare out with COVID-19

One night before UFC 249, Jacare Souza is pulled off the card after testing positive for COVID-19.

Despite concerns, UFC 249 is still scheduled to take place on Saturday at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. Brett Okamoto of ESPN revealed late Friday evening that Souza, who was set to face Uriah Hall at the event, had tested positive for COVID-19 and was no longer on card. The positive test came back after Jacare and his opponent already weighed in, with social distancing protocol in place.
