Upcoming events:

Glory 48 at Madison Square Garden, NY- Friday December 1

Glory 48 features two title fights, a title qualifier tournament, the Glory debut of two UFC fighters, and the Glory return of local kickboxer Jennie Nedell. Nedell, fighting out of Longo and Weidman MMA in Garden City, looks to bring her Glory record to 3-0 as she takes on 25-year-old Taylor McClatchie. McClatchie, who is fighting out of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, is making her professional kickboxing debut at Glory 48, coming in with an undefeated 14-0 amateur record with an impressive 6 titles. Anissa Meksen challenges current Glory Women’s Super Bantamweight Champion Tiffany van Soest. Kevin VanNostrand will fight Anvar Boynazarov for the Interim Glory Featherweight Championship. The current Glory Featherweight Champion, Robin van Rosmalen, is currently sidelined due to an eye injury sustained in his last title defense at Glory 45: Amsterdam on September 30, 2017, in which he defeated Serhiy Adamchuk via unanimous decision. Also former two division Ring of Combat champion Julio Arce makes his Glory debut this weekend against Omar Ahmed and Canadian star Jonathan Dibella returns to action as well.

In the four-man Middleweight Qualification Tournament, Wayne Barrett, Robert Thomas, Mike Lemaire, and Matt Baker will attempt to fight to the top to win the single night tournament. The winner of this tournament will earn their spot in an upcoming Glory Middleweight Championship Tournament.

Thiago Silva and Chris Camozzi, two well-known names in the MMA world, will be making their Glory debuts at Glory 48. Silva, who has competed in the UFC, World Series of Fighting, and Pancrase, fights John King. Camozzi, who competed multiple times in the UFC Middleweight division and is now a free agent, takes on Kyle Weickhardt.

The Season 26 Ultimate Fighter Finale will crown the first ever UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion. The two winners of this week’s semi-final bouts will face off on Friday to determine who will take home the title. Also fighting on this card is New Jersey fighter Andrew Sanchez. Sanchez represents K Dojo Warrior Tribe in Fairfield, NJ, which has many active fighters on the local MMA scene, including current Ring of Combat Bantamweight Champion Alex Keshtov.

The amateur MMA event will feature two title fights as Jeremy Puglia defends his Middleweight title against Philadelphia’s Noel Irizarry. The co-main event features veterans Ryan Castro and Tim Ring competing for the vacant Jr. Welterweight title. There are 15 total fights scheduled, including Taneisha Tennant (1-0) vs Jada Alicea (1-2).

UFC 218 will be headlined by Max Holloway defending his Featherweight Championship against former champion José Aldo. Also on the main card, Ultimate Fighter coaches Eddie Alvarez and Justin Gaethje will face off after finishing Season 26 of the show. Former UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez is from Philadelphia and fights out of Ricardo Almeida BJJ. Alvarez started his professional MMA career locally, winning his first two bouts at Ring of Combat 5 and Ring of Combat 6.
Paul Felder will take on Charlies Oliveira in another featured Lightweight bout. Felder, also from Philadelphia, had many of his first professional fights for Cage Fury Fighting Championship in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, eventually becoming the CFFC Lightweight Champion.
