New York-Fight News: Lyman Good

Earlier this week UFC 205 lost one of the few New York fighters on the card when Lyman Good (19-3) was flagged by USADA for potential anti doping.  Although many like to cast judgement and guilt upon athletes quickly in these situations, many times it turns out to be a case of these athletes unknowingly ingesting a banned substance through tainted supplements. Many fighters have been able to get suspensions overturned after investigation, as it seems Jon Jones thinks his will be, but these athletes still miss a fight and a paycheck, have their name tarnished, and sometimes lose sponsors.  That said, USADA also catches cheaters and is doing its best to clean up the sport. Lyman Good has No history of cheating, and his character is spoken of in high regard by those close to him.  New York Fighting contacted Lyman’s manager David Fish for comment and he stated, “He did not ever intentionally take a prohibited substance.” David then shared a private text with NYF, with Lyman’s consent, that was sent to himself, Tiger Schulmann, and Shihan Ron Schulmann:
